"Beautiful Flowers,” a painting by Edith Flinchbaugh of Blue Bell, is featured in the “Young at Art” section of the 2013 edition of Expressions, an award-winning wall calendar celebrating active aging and the arts. Judges chose Flinchbaugh’s work from more than 200 submissions. The calendar is published by Watermark Retirement Communities, the company that manages Blue Bell Place. This week, 7500 copies will be distributed nationwide.

A native of Philadelphia, Flinchbaugh was a Bell Telephone Clerk during her working years and always enjoyed camping and the great outdoors. Today, at 83, she makes painting and singing a part of her active retirement lifestyle at Blue Bell Place.
