Gwynedd-Mercy Academy celebrated a Thanksgiving liturgy on November 13th with its school community.  Each of the 27 homerooms collected items for a Thanksgiving dinner for a family in need. 

Father Tim Lyons, the Parochial Vicar at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Germantown, was the celebrant for the morning liturgy, asking the students, faculty and parents, to consider reaching deep into their hearts and give the gift of themselves in service to others.  

Following the liturgy, National Junior Honor Society and Student Council members  helped load all the items collected into Father Lyons' van.  The food will be distributed to families in need in the Germantown parish.
