Harper Hosts Holiday Open House, Toys for Tots Drop-off

BLUE BELL – Rep. Kate Harper (R-Montgomery) is inviting area residents to share some holiday cheer at her annual open house on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“My office serves as a direct link to Harrisburg for everyone living in the 61st Legislative District, but not everyone takes advantage of that link,” Harper said. “The goal of the Holiday Open House is help people get more familiar with the office, my staff and me so that we can better serve them in the future.”

Harper also noted that people looking to give to those less fortunate this holiday season may bring a toy to her office to donate to the local Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Toys will be accepted between now and Dec. 10.

“Collecting toys for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program has been a tradition at my office for many years, and we are pleased this year to be working with the Glenside PA campaign,” Harper said. “It’s a wonderful way to help our neighbors in need.”

Donated toys should be new and unwrapped to enable coordinators and volunteers to determine that the gift is safe for distribution and to identify the appropriate age and gender for each gift. Toys with candy, toys related to law enforcement/weapons and lab sets are not allowed in the Toys for Tots program.

The open house will be held at Harper’s Blue Bell office at 1515 DeKalb Pike. For more information, contact the office at 610-277-3230 or visit KateHarper.net.
