Kate Harper selected for Irish Legal 100
For the second year in a row, Catherine M. "Kate" Harper of Lower Gwynedd, a partner at Timoney Knox LLP in Fort Washington, has been selected for inclusion in the “Irish Legal 100,” a special edition of the Irish Voice newspaper which honors lawyers of Irish descent.
Harper was selected from nominations submitted by members of the Irish community, law schools, Irish Voice staff, colleagues and business associates. Selections are based on professional and personal accomplishments, according to the Irish Legal 100 staff.
A reception for the 2013 award-winners was held Oct. 25 at the home of Irish Ambassador Michael Collins in Washington, D.C.
In addition to her law practice, Harper, a partner with the firm since 1997, represents the 61st district in Eastern Montgomery County in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Her maternal grandfather, Francis A. McCarron, a Philadelphia lawyer, came from Donegal. Harper has a general practice, but focuses on land use - particularly municipal and zoning law - real estate and civil litigation.
