Bottom Dollar Hoping to be Open Before Thanksgiving

Representatives for Bottom Dollar Food presented their plan to Ambler Borough Council on Tuesday night.

Representatives for Bottom Dollar Food Stores presented the plan to on Tuesday night. The grocer is applying for preliminary and final approval of their plans, with hopes to have the store open before Thanksgiving.

The Zoning Hearing Board approved the joint applicant of Bottom Dollar Food and Ambler Beverage Exchange, for building in a flood plain, the signage relief and for the shared parking in the parking lot.

Residents were shown that while the lot that Bottom Dollar will be constructed on is graded towards Race St., the store will be built on the lowest part of the property, and the loading docks and dumpsters and tucked into the back to help avoid sound from delivery trucks.

Sidewalks along the front and around the back, which will connect to Race St., will be added to the property, as well as hedges and sound barrier trees.

There will be two entrances off Butler Pike and one on Race St.
