Issues of Focus

  • As a school board member, Stoloff wants to make sure that the School District stays as strong as it is now. “I don’t want to let the students down,” he said.
  • Stoloff wants to focus on the teachers, bringing them a top-notch support system. He says weak teachers should be helped or removed. He also wants to make sure that administrators are doing their jobs.
  • His budget policy is to not waste money where money can be saved. As student population drops in the district, Stoloff suggests bringing special education back into the district, saving “a great deal of money.” He also wants the district and the county to look into a health care consortium similar to one found in Pittsburgh to add bargaining power to health care providers.

Best Quality to Serve Students, Teachers and Taxpayers

Stoloff says his experience as an educator makes a big difference when approaching school governance. “I know what happens when it’s just the teacher and students,” he said. “It helps that someone actually knows what’s going on [behind those doors].”

“I will do what’s best for students and taxpayers, my two abiding interests,” said Stoloff.
