Mark A. Kwortnik Sr., 52, of North Wales

Mark Kwortnik Sr. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 15.

Mark A. Kwortnik Sr., 52 of North Wales PA, died most unexpectedly Sunday April 15, 2012 while at work at Philadelphia University.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Marlene (nee Kallenbach) Kwortnik of Jarrettown, PA and the late Michael J. Kwortnik.

Mark was a graduate of Upper Dublin High School Class of 1978 and attended Montgomery County Community College before he entered the United States Marine Corps and trained in Kaneohe Bay, HI. He continued his training to become a Master Electrician and worked for Quantum Electric, M & M Electric, Gowder Electric and many others. He currently held a position with Philadelphia University.

In addition to his mother He is survived by his beloved Wife, Coleen P. Kwortnik and was devoted to his children Mark A. Kwortnik, Jr. of North Wales, and Carey E. Kwortnik of Lansdale. He is the brother of Janice (John, Sr.) Teti of Ardsley, PA and their children John, Jr., Allison and Josh, Michael (Jane) Kwortnik Of Green Lane, and their Children Michael, Jr. and Erin, Joan Kwortnik of Lansdale, Judy Kwortnik Of Jarrettown, and Matthew Kwortnik of Jarrettown, and his children Kyle and Ryan. He is also survived by his Godparents Dick & Janet Powell and their children Steven and Rachael and his Mother-in-Law Patricia Carey (The Late George) of Montgomeryville and his brother-in-laws George H. (Gail) Carey, III of Montgomeryville, J. Craig (Rita) Carey of Somers Point, NJ and Michael S. Carey of Downingtown, PA

Relatives, Friends and Friends of Bill may call Saturday April 21, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church 211 S. Main Street, North Wales, PA 19454 with a Memorial Service at 1:00 PM. With Pastor Andreas Wagner. Interment will be Private.

Remembrances in his name to the American Heart Assoc. 1617 JFK Boulevard, Ste. 700 Philadelphia, PA 19103 or St. Peters Thrift Shop 211 S. Main St. North Wales, Pa 19454 would be appreciated by the family.
