Mattison Parents Testify in DC on School Closings
Mattison Avenue Elementary parents, and Ambler residents, testified during a national hearing in Washington, DC. on the rising school closings in low-income areas.
Two Mattison Avenue Elementary School parents testified before the Education Secretary Arne Duncan in Washington D.C. on the "rising number of school closings across the country in low-income areas that contain a higher population of minority groups," according to a report in the Ambler Gazette.
Elizabeth Wahl-Kunzier and Amy Joyce were among 500 parents, students and community members that represented 18 municipalities across the US. "Wahl-Kunzier and Joyce said they were hopeful to find a solution considering the information they received at the hearing."

Imagine that! ~ The comment spectators think that there was no merit to the suit against the district. It goes deeper than you know......

What is the administration doing? It took parents with no experience in educational law or a law degree to realize there was a problem. There are folks on the payroll who should have been paying attention to national trends, ensuring this did not occur on their watch. The administration and board thought they would skate by, trying like mad to adhere to the law and behaving as if they were above it.
