POLICE: Local Boys Arrested for Retail Theft; Disorderly Conduct at Normandy Farms
Retail theft was also reported at Kohl’s Department Store.
Whitpain police reported two retail thefts and a disorderly conduct citation at the Normandy Farms Hotel this week.
Retail Theft – Giant
Five males were arrested at the Giant Food Store in Blue Bell on Jan. 11 at 8:11 a.m. for retail theft.
Eighteen-year-olds James Kim from Lansdale and Austin Bag of New Britain, a 17-year–old from Blue Bell, a 17-year-old from Ambler and a 16-year-old from North Wales were all arrested and later released.
Disorderly Conduct – Normandy Farms Hotel
On Jan. 10 at 11:03 p.m., police located a suspicious vehicle in the Normandy Farms Hotel parking lot on Morris Road, in which the occupants appeared to be slumped over in their seats.
Police smelled marijuana in the vehicle, and determined that there was an active warrant in Doylestown for Jocelyn Jones, a 24-year-old from Hatfield. After obtaining an accurate address at the request of Doylestown Police, Jones was released.
The vehicle’s other occupant, 22-year-old Julius Urquhart from Elkins Park, was arrested for possessing paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana. He was cited for disorderly conduct and released.
Retail Theft – Kohl’s Department Store
At 6:46 p.m. on Jan. 13, police responded to a suspicious person report at Kohl’s Department Store at 1301 Skippack Pike in Blue Bell.
Jaclyn Nero, 31, was attempting to steal $132 in merchandise, according to Police. Nero, of Hancock Street in Norristown, was arrested for retail theft.
