Whitpain Police Reports: Four Separate Thefts at Kohl's in Blue Bell

Police incident reports from Whitpain Township Police Department.

 

Disorderly Conduct - On Nov 4th at 4:27 pm an officer stopped a silver Toyota on Skippack Pk at Wentz Rd for a vehicle inspection violation. During the stop the officer discovered that the driver, Yannick Brown, 23 yrs old of the 1700 block of Chelsea Rd in Elkins Park, was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was cited for Disorderly Conduct and released.

Retail Theft - On Nov 5th at 5:17 pm, police were called to Kohl’s Department Store, 1301 Skippack Pk where Rhona Kalman, 60 yrs old of the 100 block of Eagle Dr in Plymouth Meeting was in custody for attempting to steal two vacuum cleaners. Ms Kalman walked in with an empty vacuum cleaner box, placed it on a display of vacuum cleaners, and then removed two boxes containing Shark vacuum cleaners valued at $509.98. She was arraigned by Judge Robert Sobeck on charges of Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. She received ROR bail and was released.

Retail Theft - On Nov 6th at 1:11 pm, police were called to the Giant Food Store, 1760 Dekalb Pk where employees had Cyprienne Yah Djetouan, 34 yrs old of the 600 block of Swede St in Norristown, stopped for attempting to steal $78.06 worth of merchandise. She was charged with summary Retail Theft and released.

Retail Theft - On Nov 8th at 7:04 pm, Police responded to Kohl’s Department Store, 1301 Skippack Pk where Loss Prevention Officers had Karolyn Callahan, 25 yrs old of the 100 block of Oakland Ave in custody for Retail Theft. Police were advised that Ms Callahan attempted to steal $181.99 worth of merchandise from the store. She is being charged with Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.

Hit and Run - On Nov 8th at 11:18 am, police were called to Skippack Pk at Penllyn Pk for a report of a Hit & Run that had just occurred. They received information that a green Honda Civic struck the rear of silver Volvo that was stopped in traffic. After impact, the female driver of the Honda drove around the Volvo and continued east on Skippack Pk, driving through a steady red light when leaving. The Honda was stopped on Skipack Pk at Joshua Rd by a Whitemarsh officer and Shali McWilliams, 18 yrs old was issued citations for the red light violation, Careless Driving and Duty to Give Information and Render Aid.

Retail Theft- On Nov 9th at 1:28 pm, officers were called to Kohl’s Department Store, 1301 Skippack Pk for a female in custody for Retail Theft. Loss Prevention Officers reported that Diana Alejandra Castro-Tenorio, 23 yrs old of the 400 block of Logan St in Norristown was taken into custody for attempting to steal $350.00 worth of merchandise. She is being charged with Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.

Retail Theft - On Nov 9th at 5:28 pm, police responded to Kohl’s Department Store where Roseann Anderson, 32 yrs old of the 800 block of Noble St in Norristown was detained for attempting to steal $1,730.00 worth of merchandise. She was arraigned by District Justice Gadzicki for Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property and bail was set at $5,000/unsecured.

Between coupons and "Kohl's Kash" the store practically GIVES AWAY stuff. Sad state of affairs when people are moved to crime. Welcome to Obamanomics V.2. Only going to get worse.

If you read the patch police articles it ALWAYS has people attempting to steal from Kohls and getting CAUGHT on a regular basis. I guess these idiots don't read the patch, Kohls is not the place to steal from, they will catch you. Maybe they should do a little more research before they go out there stealing.
