Wissahickon Teachers Honored
Teachers win Teacher of the Year, Elementary Teacher of the Year and the 2011 Voices of Inspiration Award.
Wissahickon teachers Monica Weninger, Scott Landis and Michael Jackson were honored at Monday night's School Board meeting. The teachers were recognized for their work in the classroom.
Weninger was recognized by the Air Force Association as the 2011 Air Force Association Teacher of the Year. She is a science teacher at the Middle School and the advisor to the Middle School's Science Olympiad team and the Middle School's FIRST Robotics Team.
Landis is a science teacher at the Middle School and was awarded the 2011 Voice of Inspiration Award for Teaching Excellence.

Jackson is the Physical Education teacher at Lower Gwynedd Elementary School adn was awarded the Southeastern District PSAHPERD's 2011 Elementary Teacher of the Year.
