Come to Wentz Run Park to join the Park and Open Space Board,along with other volunteers, for "Build a Trail Day" from 1-4 on Sunday December 9th.
One of the most frequent requests from residents is "more walking trails" in the township. This small but important trail is a part of a larger "Whitpain Township Master Trail Plan" and will help enable residents in many nearby neighborhoods to walk safely to Wentz Run Park.
Volunteers can park in the Wentz Run Parking Lots, follow the existing trail past the lower soccer fields and meet at the start of the existing nature trail. If possible, please bring lopping shears, yeard rakes, shovels, wheel barrows and gloves. You will be a part of clearing brush, moving fallen tree limbs, spreading wood chips and filling in ruts and holes. Strong and able children are welcome to attend with adult supervision.
