Portable generators, sold by Champion Power Equipment, are being recalled for a fire hazard.
A fuel leak from the generator's carburetor can be the source of a fire hazard. There have been 11 reports of fuel leaks, including eights reports of the generators catching fire.
The recall includes two models of Champion Power Equipment generators that were sold exclusively at Costco, model numbers 41332 and model number 41532. The generators were sold at Costco Stores nationwide from December 2011 through July 2012 for approximately $699.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled generators immediately and contact Champion Power Equipment for a free repair kit. Consumers can also return the units to Costco for a full refund.
