Montgomery County Community College invites the community to the Chamber Strings Ensemble’s initial performance of the season on Monday, Oct. 22, at 4:15 p.m. in the Parkhouse Atrium, Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. The Ensemble will be performing the music of Gustav Holst, John Williams, Bernard Hermann and J.S. Bach.
The Chamber Strings Ensemble consists of MCCC students, area high school students and community members. The performance is free and open to the public.
The Chamber Strings Ensemble, part of the one-credit performance course, MUS 190 Chamber Strings I, provides an opportunity for students to participate in an orchestral strings setting. The Ensemble meets Mondays from 3:55-6:40 p.m. Anyone can join, as long as they are proficient on their instrument and with reading notes.
