Michael Morsch "Dancing in My Underwear"

On Thursday November 29th at 2 PM Michael Morsch, Executive editor for Montgomery Media, will talk about his memoir, "Dancing in My Underwear: The Soundtrack of My Life."  Mike will be at the Wissahickon Valley Public Library, 650 Skippack Pike in Blue Bell. What’s amazing about Mike and his book is he tells  stories of growing up in the Midwest and links up the stories with the music of the 1960s and 1970s, when he was “Dancing in My Underwear” as he listened to the top bands of the era.  Then some 30 to 40 years later, he interviewed these artists as editor for Montgomery Media.  Mike interviewed  the Beach Boys (Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston), Daryl Hall and John Oates (Philly area guys), Olivia Newton-John, Barry Manilow, Micky Dolenz of The Monkees, Dewey Bunnell of America, Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, Tom Johnston of the Doobie Brothers, country stars Roy Clark and Wynonna Judd, and the list goes on.

There is a heavy local angle to nearly every chapter as most of the artists interviewed appeared at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, the Sellersville Theater 1894 and at a couple other Philly-area venues.  Call the library to sign up 215-643-1320 x14. Mike will have books to purchase and will gladly autograph them.
