Healthy Kids Day at the Ambler Area YMCA

On Saturday, April 26,
2014 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, the Ambler Area YMCA will host its annual Healthy
Kids Day® event. This free community event encourages kids in the local
community to get moving and learning, and features games, arts & crafts,
special activities, local vendors and much more.

This year’s event theme is
“Build a Happier, Healthier Kid.” Research shows that
without access to out-of-school physical and learning activities, kids fall
behind academically and gain weight twice as fast during summer than the school
year. This year’s Healthy Kids Day will help parents begin to think early about
what their kids need to grow and achieve all summer long. Together, we
can kick-start healthier behaviors now and throughout the summer, a critical
time for children’s health.
