Special Movie NIght at Calvary UMC Ambler

God's Not Dead

The movie, God's Not Dead is being shown in a special event at Calvary UMC in Ambler on Friday, August 1 at 7PM. This must see Christian movie of the season will be presented on the big screen in Calvary's main sanctuary and is free and open to the public. A free will offering will be taken, proceeds to benefit, Interfaith Housing Alliance. Light refreshments will be served following the movie.

The movie follows ( synopsis from the movie web site)  " Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), as he finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day, or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words “God Is Dead” on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future…”Come to Calvary on August 1 at 7PM to find out how Josh handles this challenge to his faith and beliefs.
