Wissahickon School District Rewards Rogue Behavior with All-Expense-Paid Trip
WSD Approves of Unsanctioned Board Meetings; Rewards with Taxpayer-Funded All-Expense-Paid Trip
Review of the agenda for the school board meeting being held on Monday, February 11, 2013 reveals an upcoming trip to San Diego, California for the school board member who holds unsanctioned board meetings, it was learned.
The trip is for a conference in the middle of April that will cost taxpayers over $3000 and occurs at the exact time the redistricting plans are being finalized.
Apparently the school district approves of the illegal meetings and rewards those involved with prestigious appointments and trips at the expense of taxpayers.

You see, the administration appointed the person who holds the illegal board meetings with the coveted position of managing the recently-announced redistricting plans.
Why is the administration so eager to spend our hard-earned money on someone who has announced they are no longer running for school board? Shouldn't there be a policy in place to manage outgoing board members and their expense accounts (taxpayer dollars)?

The school board member claimed that she would be 'going out with a bang' after 20 years of service on the board.
Sadly, it is the taxpayer's pocketbooks that are being blown up.
