William T. Weir Sr., 92, of Ambler, Civil Engineer

First, William T. Weir's wife of 66 years, Mary Grim, died in a nursing home in Spring House Dec. 20.
Then, 10 days later, Weir Sr., 92, followed his wife in death, according to his online tribute.
Weir Sr., of Ambler, died Dec. 30 at Gwynedd Estates in Lower Gwynedd from cardiac failure.
Weir Sr. was a Sellersville native and graduated from Ambler High School in 1939, per the tribute.
He went on to serve in the Army during World War II with the 84th Infantry Division Railsplitters. Weir Sr. earned a civil engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1949. 
Weir Sr. worked as a bridge draftsman for the Reading Railroad and as a civil engineer for Upper Dublin, Upper Gwynedd, Upper Merion and Ambler Borough, and for North Wales Water Co. and Ambler Borough Water Co.
