UPDATE: 202 Shut Down in Blue Bell for Two-Car Crash

At least one person has been medevaced from the scene of the crash at Dekalb Pike and Cherry Lane in Blue Bell.

UPDATE 12:45 p.m.: As of 12:20 p.m., Dekalb Pike (US 202) has been reopened.

UPDATE 11:49 a.m.: Whitpain Township Police Chief Mark Smith told Patch that there were two victims in the two-vehicle crash in Whitpain Township.

The driver of the Honda Civic experienced cardiac arrest during the crash but EMTs with Second Alarmers gave the victim CPR and he was flown to the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where he is recovering.

Police also told Patch that the driver of the Jeep suffered head and neck injuries and was taken to Paoli Hospital.

DeKalb Pike (US 202) remains closed between Jolly Rd. and Skippack Pike. Crews on scene are waiting for the crash reconstruciton team to take pictures and measurements of the crash scene before removing the vehicles and re-opening the road.

US202 is shut down in both directions from Jolly Road to Skippack Pike in Blue Bell as police and emergency personell deal with the a two-car crash that happened shortly before 10 a.m. this morning.

According to reports at least one person was medevaced from the scene with a reported neck injury and another reportedly in cardiac arrest and listed in serious condition after the accident at DeKalb Pike and Cherry Lane.
