38-Year-Old Whitpain Man Allegedly Steals Parents' Car: Police

Anthony Vitelli, 38, of Ashford Lane, was cited for disorderly conduct after he was allegedly uncooperative with police.

A 38-year-old Whitpain Township man who allegedly took his parents' car without permission was eventually cited for disorderly conduct after he became uncooperative, police allege, during a traffic stop.
On Oct. 28, at 3:56 p.m., Whitpain Township cops were called to the 900 block of Ashford Lane, where a resident reported their son, Anthony Vitelli, 38, allegedly took their silver Acura without permission, police said.
At 8:30 p.m., Whitemarsh Township Police located the Acura and stopped the driver, identified as Vitelli, in the area of Skippack and Butler pikes, police said.
During the traffic stop, Vitelli allegedly began yelling and swearing at police officers, police said.
Vitelli then allegedly began yelling and swearing at his family when they arrived to take back the Acura, police said.
Officers were unable to calm Vitelli down and he was cited for disorderly conduct, police said.
