Ambler Man Arrested for Public Drunkenness in Whitpain, Police Say

An Ambler man allegedly found stumbling in a CVS parking lot was arrested and charged with public drunkenness, police said.
John Gerhardt Jr., 62, of the 1400 block of Evans Road, was also charged with disorderly conduct, police said.
At 1:44 a.m. Jan. 14, an officer found Gerhardt standing in the parking lot of CVS and then allegedly began to stumble to the Wawa next door on DeKalb Pike, police said.
As the officer spoke with Gerhardt, it was determined he was allegedly drunk, police said. Gerhardt was taken into custody and later released.
