Ambler Police Reports: Generator Cord Cut

Police incident reports from Ambler Borough Police.

Theft – On Nov. 4 at 11:50 a.m., Scott Allan Smith, 45 yrs of age of the 6000 block of Martins Mill La., Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with Theft, Receiving Stolen Property and False I.D. to Law Enforcement, after police responded to St. Anthony’s Church on Forest Ave. for the report of theft of collection money.  Smith was located nearby and taken into custody after being positively identified.  Smith was live scanned at Upper Dublin Police Dept. where it was learned he had given false identification to the police.  It was also revealed that he was wanted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear on a previous burglary charge.  He was released to their custody.

Disorderly Conduct – Patrick Murray Sr., 63 yrs. of age of the 300 block of E Butler Ave. was cited for Disorderly Conduct on Nov. 3 at 5:35 p.m., after police responded to the location for a neighbor dispute regarding Murray throwing a bag of trash in complainant’s front yard.

Criminal Mischief – On Nov. 1, a resident of the 200 block of Hendricks St. reported the cord to their generator had been cut.  Unknown when it occurred.

Theft from Vehicle – A resident of Mary Ambler Way reported on Oct. 30 that sometime over night, his unlocked vehicles were entered and approximately $5 in change was stolen.

Theft from Vehicle – A Hatfield resident reported on Oct. 24 at 2:45 p.m., that while his work truck was parked in the unit block of N Spring Garden St., a black canvas bag containing his wallet and some personal belongings was stolen.

Editor's Note: The disorerly conduct report for Patrick Murray orginially stated Murray is 37, however, he is 63.
