FBI, Police Searching for Whitpain TD Bank Robber

A man wearing a red Phillies hat, a suit, and wearing sunglasses and a messenger bag handed a teller a demand note and fled with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

A man wearing a suit, red Phillies hat and sunglasses robbed the TD Bank on Swede Road in Whitpain Thursday afternoon.
The Whitpain Township Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery at 1799 Swede Road in Blue Bell.
At 1:50 p.m., the man entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note, police said. He said he had a gun, though no weapon was visible, police said.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot and was last seen running south on Swede Road.
The subject is a white or Hispanic male in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, medium build, with a mustache and goatee. He had on a red Phillies baseball cap, sunglasses, dark-colored suit coat over a white button-down collared shirt and white T-shirt, jeans, and dark-colored shoes, police said.
He also wore a dark-colored messenger bag across his body, police said.
This subject is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
