Weight Loss Doctor Headed to Prison After Sexually Assaulting Patients

Having plead guilty in September to four counts of aggravated indecent assault and five counts of indecent assault, Arie Oren will spend the next four-and-a-half to nine years in prison.

Arie Oren, a Penn Valley resident and former operator of Conshohocken Weight Control, will serve the next four-and-a-half to nine years in prison, after pleading guilty to the sexual assault of five female patients from Montgomery County.

Oren was arrested in April of 2011, after one of his patients notified the Conshohocken Police that she had been sexually assaulted. Afterwards, it was discovered that other patients had also been assaulted, between 2008 and 2010.

Oren's attorney, Tim Woodward, stated in court that after the doctor lost his wife to cancer, he became so overcome with grief that he didn't know what he was doing.
