Whitpain Police Searching for Male Seen Attempting to Steal Air Compressor

Police are searching for a black male who was reported seen attempting to steal an air compressor from a Blue Bell residence.

According to Whitpain Township Police, on Thursday, Nov. 15 at approximately 2 p.m., a resident of the 500 block of Penllyn Blue Bell Pike, Blue Bell, reported to police that she heard the driveway sensor alarm sound.

According to the police reports, when the resident went to investigate, she discovered a black male attempting to steal an air compressor from her garage. The male is described as approximately 5'6" to 5'8", with a tall, thin build and a thin mustache, as well as a distinctive gap between his teeth. The male was wearing a gold chain with a gold disc pendant, an unzipped dark sweatshirt with white lettering shaped in a arch, blue jeans and white sneakers. The victim said he was soft spoken and polite.

According to police reports, the victim confronted the actor, who told her that he was looking for "James Norwood." He then put the compressor back and fled in a small, newer model, slate grey BMW with a red pine tree shaped air fresher hanging from the rearview mirror.
