Nominate the Best Music School in the Region

Let us know where the best place in the area to take the kids for music lessons.

Where is the best place to take your children for music lessons or your favorite music teacher?

Patch is re-launching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else to nominate the best music school in the region.

We’ll accept nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to do to nominate your favorite music school or music teacher in the comments below. If you already see the teacher or school you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why the school should be included; we may not be able to add all nominations to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

The School of Rock in Fort Washington. Great teachers, great program, and they provide opportunities for young musicians no other music schools do. It has been wonderful for my son!

The greatest music program around. My son went there for 5 years and loved it!

School of Rock Fort Washington! There's nothing like it anywhere else. These kids put on full blown rock concerts -4 or 5 of them - 3 times a year. Kids ages 7-17 learn all aspects of rock n roll. This season the kids are tackling The Rolling Stones, Hair Metal, Best of the 90s, and Beastie Boys VS The Red Hot Chili Peppers. A vote for us is a vote for Rock N' Roll!

Ambler Music Academy! They have the most organized program and put on a beautiful recital at the end of the school year. Great teachers both in musical talent and in their abilities working with children of all ages. Kids have a good time learning and can also work towards more serious goals, like auditioning for an ensemble or a scholarship for school.

Music Training Center provides quality music education and performance training to more than two thousand students each week through our 5 schools in Ardmore, Conshohocken, Malvern, Montgomeryville, and Marlton. We have over 70 college-degreed teachers and school administrators who specialize in teaching music to children, and enjoy sharing the timeless benefits of music with our students. We teach music to children as young as infants in our Makin' Music program. Children ages 3-5 may progress to Pre-K private music lessons. Kids ages 5-17 take weekly instrumental and voice lessons, and kids ages 7-17 perform in a range of ensembles including Rock, Jazz, Percussion, Choir, and Musical Theater, both in our school's theaters and at large venues including World Cafe Live. Our schools are communities of families, teachers, and aspiring musicians - See our students in action at www.facebook.com/musictrainingcenter, www.youtube.com/musictraining , and www.musictrainingcenter.com. We are a family-owned school in operation since 2003.

The School of Rock in Fort Washington. This performance-based music school for students ages 7-17 teaches the students not only skills in music, performance, theatrics, but also team-building, leadership, confidence, communications, responsibility and respect. Rock on!

Milestones in Music. Both my sons have gone through the program with Miss Judy from infants to Young Musicians. We all have enjoyed the programs, had fun and didn't realize how much we were learning along the way.

I nominate Settlement Music School -- their newest branch in Willow Grove is amazing and continues to serve students of all ages, skill level and economic background. From their 27 music studios and 320-seat Recital Hall, dance studio and library-- it is a place where everyone can find the best of themselves, their neighbors and the community. Settlement has been a prestigious yet very welcoming home to many aspiring musicians for 105 years. Willow Grove is their sixth branch-- newly built to replace their Jenkintown facility on Meetinghouse Road.
