Wissahickon Adds Two Days From Hurricane Sandy

After being closed for four days for Hurricane Sandy, Wissahickon School District needs to make up two more days before the end of the school year.

Information from Wissahickon School District:

The Wissahickon School District experienced a loss of 4 school days; October 29, 2012 through November 1, 2012 due to Hurricane Sandy. The District calendar accounts for 184 student days, of which 2 are built in for weather related   emergencies. Our current calendar procedure for inclement weather and/or emergencies reads accordingly:

“If schools are closed for inclement weather or emergencies, make-up day #3 will be February 15 if the closure is before that date. Subsequent make-up days will be June 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28. If fewer than 2 days are used for inclement weather, school will not be held on June 18 and/or June 19.”
