UPDATED: Whitpain Wells Fargo Bank Robbed Friday

Update, 6:45 p.m., 8/30/13:

Authorities released a more detailed description and surveillance photos Friday evening of a man they said robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 25 Skippack Pike earlier in the day. 

At 12:25 p.m., the man entered the bank, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled in a light blue BMW.

The robber is described as a stocky white male in his late 40s to mid-50s, approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall and 230 pounds.  He wore a black hooded mask over his face and head, a brown sport coat, and tan pants.

The robber should be considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone with information about the incident or the robber is urged to call the FBI at 215-641-8910 or the Whitpain Township Police Department at 610-279-9033. There may be a reward for information leading to the robber's capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.

Whitman Township Police are searching for a white male who held up the Wells Fargo Bank at 25 Skippack Pike Friday afternoon.
